Blessing for a Nation

February 25, 2011

May this nation grow purer with age,
and with strength more humane.
May it not tread down the weak and helpless,
but be the benefactor of nations.
And may its example kindle hope in other lands.

– from The original Plymouth pulpit, Volumes 3-4
By Henry Ward Beecher, Truman Jeremiah Ellinwood, ca. 1870.

This is a great prayer for our country as we are in such a sad state of affairs. At one time we were a fine example to other countries. May we one day get that respect back. First and foremost we need our government to put God in charge once again!
May God bless you,my son,for all that you do!
