Blessing of Empty Space

May 9, 2011

Thirty spokes put together make a wheel,
but it’s in the space where there is nothing
that the usefulness of the wheel depends.

Clay that’s shaped will make a pot,
but it’s in the space where there is nothing
that the usefulness of the pot depends.

Wood that’s cut will make a house,
but it’s in the space where there is nothing
that the usefulness of the house depends.
